How to exit an operating system’s command line application (script) in Windows similarly to how one would exit from a similar script Linux?

When I call the exit directive from a script file in Android Terminal Emulator or Debian Terminal, it does not terminate the command line GUI. It is counterpart of exit /B directive of Windows OS.
