I've noticed that when a suggested edit is rejected, the feedback is often quite brief and doesn't always help the contributor understand what could have been improved. While experienced users may already know the expectations, newer contributors can find the process confusing.
Has there been any discussion about providing more detailed rejection reasons or examples of acceptable edits? My thinking is that better feedback could help users learn the editing standards faster and potentially improve the quality of future contributions.
I searched for discussions about suggested edit feedback and found several posts about edit reviews, but I couldn't find a recent discussion focused specifically on the level of detail provided in rejection messages.
What do others think? Would more detailed feedback be helpful, or would it create additional workload without much benefit?
