Review: 72423-1 - Shrek, Donkey & Puss in Boots

Some... ...body once told me this way to open a Shrek review is getting old. Speaking of old: it's been 25 years since Shrek first appeared on the big screen. Hold on, I need a pause to let some realization about 'old' set in. --- And finally the big green ogre and his friends are turned into a LEGO set.

Review: 11389-1 - Project Hail Mary

Like many others Project Hail Mary is a movie I absolutely loved. So what was originally a set I wasn't that bothered about became one I absolutely had to build. So here we are... For those who don't know (where have you been!?! Go watch Project Hail Mary now!) the movie is about a scientist who embarks on a deep space mission to save Earth.

Review: 71870-1 - The Twin Titan Mechs

Prepare for trouble, and make it double... wait, wrong franchise. I had so much fun with the Fire Knight Mech, that I am back and ready for more Ninjago mech action. These twin Mechs are the final installment in Ninjago's titan series (unless the new kids or Pixal end up getting one).

Review: 42233 - Mighty Machines Series 1

I’ve been complaining that Technic has featured too many cars recently. To make up for this, LEGO released 8 sets based on construction vehicles instead. They are a bit small though? Technic meets Collectible Minifigures with 42233 Mighty Machines Series 1 : the familiar collectible boxes (albeit a bit bigger), but instead of a minifigure they contain parts to build one out of eight ...

Rebrickable Turns 15

Back in August 2011, I built a small website for LEGO fans to share their creations and discover new things to build. I never imagined that, 15 years later, it would still be here - let alone grow into the community it is today. Recently, we've reached some incredible milestones: 2 million registered users, nearly 200,000 MOCs, and almost 20,000 designers sharing their creations with the world.

Brickvention 2026

Brickvention is Australia's premiere LEGO event. It is held in Melbourne in January and attracts thousands of visitors each year. For those of you who Melbourne is a little far to attend, I hope this blog post can give you an idea about what it is like! These days Brickvention is held in the heritage listed Royal Exhibition Building.

Review: 80120-1 - Prosperity Carp Leaping

When the June wave of sets was revealed, this one immediately caught my eye. Bright vibrant colours, with an elegant tori gate, and mechanism to boot? Sign me up. Then I learnt it was designed by Lee Chi Wing , who mostly works on Ninjago and has been delivering some fantastic sets. Let's take a closer look at his first non-ninja related set.

Review: 75427-1 - Throne Room Duel & A-Wing

Another look at SMART Play. This time the throne room, or better known as the SMART Play set with the brick that is more than a ship. This time we get 2 bricks! Lets find out if more = better. Being the fourth SMART Play review (and not the last btw!) I'm not going to talk about the electronics here. You already know enough about that bit and we'll go into it more later.

Review: 11217-1 - Brick-Built Bluey Family

Rebrickable reviewing Bluey? For real life? For a theme aimed at preschoolers, you might wonder why a childless adult wanted this set. Bluey has captured the hearts of young and old alike, with relatable characters showing a slice of Australian family life. But with dogs, cause dogs are fun. Does this translate into a fun LEGO set? Let's take a look.

Review: 11377-1 - The Lord of the Rings: Minas Tirith

Since the 'reboot' of LEGO Lord of the Rings in 2023 through the Icons theme, we have gotten a large set depicting an iconic location from the trilogy every year. And this year, we ride to the capital of Gondor with 11377-1 The Lord of the Rings: Minas Tirith.
