Everybody thinks the election in Florida is August 18. It is not. Florida’s mail ballots for the primary started going out this week, and in recent Florida primaries about half of all votes came by mail and seven in ten were cast before election day even dawned. So the real election is not on the 18th. It is on your kitchen table in the next two weeks, probably while the coffee is still hot.
Here is the honest part, and it is the same thing I have believed through twenty years in statehouses. Being an informed voter is not about watching more news. It never was. It is about twenty minutes, a sample ballot, and knowing which three things to check. That is it. The women who feel behind on this are not behind. They just were never handed the simple method.
So I made you the method. It is called the Kitchen Table Voter Kit, and it is free.
It will not tell you who to vote for. I would not presume, and you would not need me to.
