Everyday Parisian · The Paris Diaries

This past week, I spent the week exploring Greece. It was a wonderful trip connecting with family, eating some incredible meals, and seeing Greece for the first time. Greece had been on my bucket list for years, and I am so happy I finally was able to explore some of the islands.

I joked with my family that I always keep going to the same airport (CDG). This was a little out of my comfort zone as I have a good routine arriving in Paris, knowing what to expect, and navigating the city like a local. The culture, language, coffee, and food are all different. We had some incredible meals, and I can’t wait to draw inspiration from them in my own cooking at home.

This Sunday, we will be home and have lots to catch up on between laundry, grocery shopping, and sorting through mail and packages. I love a good routine, and after being on the road for a good while, I cannot wait for everything to have a place again. Before picking up Henri, I like to get as much done as possible so I can be present with him. We will both be exhausted (him from camp) and me from jet lag and traveling.

Weekend Reading is up on the blog. I really enjoyed the Jennifer Garner interview, why doing nothing is good for you, how the French dress for a heatwave, and Taylor Jenkins Reid has a new book coming out.

While in Greece, my family introduced me to a game called Five Crowns, and we stayed up way too late playing. My husband and I are Rummy players, and this is a bit backward, since you want to have the fewest points at the end of the game. I am proud to say that after a few games under my belt, I left the group a winner. Beginner’s luck? Or I finally figured it out? Stay tuned as we have a rematch over Thanksgiving.

My suitcase was packed well for the two weeks on the way out, and I insisted I didn’t have room for anything during the trip. Sunscreen and this lip balm were the only things I purchased while in Crete and Greece. We did pick up some honey and olive oil at the airport in the Duty Free for home.

For the flight home, I always like to have a clean outfit and feel comfortable flying. I wore this linen shirt with my AYR pants.

I pulled everything I packed for Greece and linked it here. A few outfit photos from my travels will be shared in my roundup when I am home. I will make a full travel post of Crete and Greece, where we ate, stayed, and explored.

Put this hotel on your list!

Splendid is Buy One Get One 50% off right now with code BOGO50. I ordered this top and these pants to make a set.

Have you shopped the Alex Mill sale yet? They have some great pieces, including this top and this polka dot dress.

Ritual is up to 30% off. I have been taking these vitamins with my daily pack for my skin. These are on my list for stress relief.

Cos is part of the Nordstrom Anniversary sale, and I picked up a few things. This dress, which will be so perfect for black boots or flats. Plus, this skirt comes in black and white. I grabbed the white.

QVC has a great sale on Elemis right now. The Marine Cream with SPF 50 is included and offers a great lightweight summer lotion. The resurfacing pads are perfect for exfoliating; this set includes a home and a travel size. You can replenish the travel size with the larger size after a trip.

All the incredible food and flavors we had in Greece. I am ready to up my game and meal rotation, inspired by the dishes.

My cousin packed some adorable clothes, and we shared our favorites from ME+EM and Frank and Eileen. I will be adding a few items to my wardrobe thanks to her influencing me, including these pants.

Over meals, we shared some of our favorite shows we are watching on TV or series we just finished. I am looking forward to exploring the suggestions and promise to share my list here.

The Greek way of life, colors, styles, and architecture. As a family, we all loved Mykonos for different reasons. This is one place I want to go back and explore more in the off-season.

This book is currently on my Kindle. I couldn’t get it to connect to Wifi on the road. I am hoping I can download it and read it this summer.

How do we feel about cigarette pants vs. wide-leg jeans? I am on the fence.

I mentioned these shoes last week, and they were an instant best seller. Surprisingly, they are still in stock in all sizes.

The Therabody Depuffing Wand has a hot-and-cold feature you will love as much as I do.

The J.Crew linen pants are always a favorite and continue to be a best seller this week.
