My favorite thing about serving in the military? The people. Our missions were never about any one individual; it was always about finding a way to work together to get the mission done, whatever the task was at hand.
One of the many hard parts about leaving the military was finding that same team, that sense of camaraderie, and a group of people willing to put a shared mission ahead of themselves.
And I am so proud to say that’s the kind of team that we’ve built here in NJ-07.
Every one of us has a place and a say in the future of our nation. Over the past 15 months, I’ve seen people from all corners of our district come together in support of a shared mission: tackling our cost of living crisis, cleaning up corruption in Washington, and putting our country first.
Leading up to the June primary, we made over half a million voter contacts. We knocked on 21,000 doors. We made over 110,000 phone calls, and we sent over 340,000 texts. 750 of you have donated your time and energy to making this campaign possible.
That’s dedication. You took the time out of your busy lives and showed up. You could have been anywhere else, but you decided to put the future of our community first.
Now, we’re facing our biggest challenge yet. Over the next three and a half months, there will be millions in dark money spent to spread lies about the movement we’ve built.
Tom Kean Jr.? He’ll continue putting his own political and financial interests first. His corporate PAC donors will call the shots while he won’t show up in our communities to listen to us.
What Tom Kean Jr. doesn’t have, however, is all of you. We have an incredible team that knows it’s time for a change and that knows how to roll up our sleeves and get to work.
So, if you’re struggling to navigate the cost of living and take care of your family, join us. If you think Congress should be doing more to keep our children safe on our streets, in our schools, and online, join us. If you are sick of corrupt politicians in Washington putting their own bottom line ahead of yours, join us. If you want someone who is going to put country over party, join us.
I need your help to flip this seat and with it, the entire House of Representatives. There are so many changes we need to make. But first, we need to win.
So, it’s time to get to work. We are 102 days away from the Midterms. Ballots are getting mailed in September. The election is going to be here before we know it. With you on our team, we’ll be able to reach our neighbors in every corner of the district.
