One of the notions that led to the creation of this newsletter was looking at my bookshelves with utter excitement, thinking of the books I’d love to share with my kid. These were the books that hung at the top of my list—the ones that immediately sprang to mind if someone asked me a speed question about my favorite book. Even if I hadn’t read them in a while, these stories left an indelible mark on my heart.
You’re probably similar. If you’re here, you care about books and storytelling. So I’m sure you have your own “heirloom” reads: books and stories you can’t wait to read with the kids in your life.
I’d love for us all to discuss what those books are for us. They can be children’s books or grown-up books… any book you’d love to read with your kids. Leave a comment and tell us what those books are, why they left such an impression on you, and, if you’ve already shared them, what your kids’ reactions were!
Let’s learn more about each other and the books that are near and dear to our hearts. I’ll drop a comment too to share what books I’m most looking forward to (re)reading with my kid.
