It all started way back in 2018 with a test of one animated music video. Bands at the time were heavily investing in elaborate live-action music videos, and we needed to find a different way to showcase our music.
Cats, Dogs & Rats was an early hit for us. Then in 2019 we doubled down with 3 more animated music videos (Ryan & Dave, Milk Man, and Brittle Bones Nicky). When Brittle Bones Nicky released in September, it was clear: We found our niche.
Fast forward to today, and we’ve released nearly 100 fully animated music videos, a short film, and even created an award winning full-length movie. And now to round everything everything out, we’re taking on the TV world with our newest project.
Welcome to Crooked City
I won’t tell you everything, but Crooked City tells the story of a failing musician being replaced by AI who somehow finds himself in a world full of human-like animals named “Crooked City”. At first glance everything feels like an analog paradise, but since a megalomaniacal crow introduced Earth’s addictive social media technology, things have started to change.
We’re approaching things in a totally unique way this time, and the Crooked City pilot is going to be accompanied by a full album’s worth of music! We’ll be telling more of the story via a series of animated music videos.
