Evening y’all, this week I’m on the road after seeing my first World Cup match, USA vs. Australia, last Friday. That was one of the coolest things I’ve ever done, if you live the US and get a chance to see a World Cup match this summer, highly recommend.

I’d been eyeing this camera for awhile. Seeing the pending price increase coming next month, I bought one at Glazer’s to give it a shot, thinking - worst case if I don’t like it, I can at least resell it for close to what I paid for it.

What I think so far:
I already like using it better than my Fujifilm X100V, which I plan to sell. Packability is great, and the buttons already feel really intuitive.
Not having a viewfinder is weird, it takes some getting used to.
Really easy and reliable to transfer images to iPhone using Ricoh’s app.
Having a built in diffusion filter (that’s the “HDF”) is great, I use one on most of my digital cameras.
I think my travel tandem going forward is this camera and one of my film cameras. So far, really pleased.
