The Wednesday Waffle

My friend Nami send me this Instagram Reel about a concept called The Wednesday Waffle. I found the whole concept intriguing. Sort of like a weekly accountability update — with friends. But I’m hoping that…

Off by 100% Bias

Today I learnt about Off by 100% bias. When a consumer sees “130% more”, they likely do not put much thought or effort into actually computing what it means,” she adds. Instead, the consumer’s mind “jumps” to the first thing that makes sense, the straight “30% more” calculation. const number = 50 ; const delta = 25 ; const final = number + delta; // 75; const percentage_increase = delta / number;…

Illusion of Touch

TIL Link to heading It’s physically impossible to touch anything because we’re made up of atoms. When we get too close to an object, our electrons and the electrons of that object will repel each other. React Tips for Future

1. Do not overuse useEffect Link to heading For developers, useEffect is often seen as a replacement for componentDidMount . However, strictly speaking, it is not.
