On Saturday, Aug 1st, we’re gonna come together for World Breastfeeding Day, we are going to stand up for the motherbaby dyad by demanding that Nara formula investors pressure the company AND Meta to take down influencer ads that STILL LIVE six weeks into the recall.

We’re going send some polite BUT FIRM emails to the people who could take these ads DOWN.
Nara is the most recent formula recall and they advertise almost exclusively online. Their tainted formula has poisoned four infants with botulism. They are in a weakened and vulnerable position with so much public anger, so let’s create the tipping point to get them to take action! Also? So many of their investor firms are on insta and that’s OUR turf! 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽

Despite being six weeks into an infant botulism–related recall involving a product in which your firm invested, advertisements for Nara formula remain live across Meta’s platforms. These paid and organic promotions FAIL TO DISCLOSE MATERIAL INFORMATION to consumers.There’s a fleet of influencers holding up cans of Nara to millions of vulnerable mothers without any disclosure that the product is under recall. That’s a violation of the FTC Act Section 5 & 12. On World Breastfeeding Day, I ask that your firm does right by the motherbaby dyad: Tell Nara founder Esther Hallam and Meta Public Policy Director Brad Weltman to take every one of these ads down NOW.
Q: What time should I post?
A: First thing on Saturday morning before the day gets too busy! Some of us live amongst the west-coastal elites others on the frigid mountain peaks (???) of Manitoba so it’s going to be rolling out all day but shoot for the AM!
Q: Should I add my own caption?
A: Sure! Post how you feel about influencers marketing recalled formula. Talk to the investors directly or simply hit them with some of these “🤨👎🤢”. Want some help? Try this:

Q: Can my account get suspended or restricted if I take part in this action?
A: Last year, hundreds of women participated in our nurse-in and everyone has survived with their accounts in tact (so they can sell tarot card readings or beef tallow face wash!). If Instagram does try to screw with your account let us know ASAP and we will raise hell.
