Hiking Narrows Late Sept - Attire

Hellurr everyone - my partner and I are going to Zion the last week of September. Just wanted to see if anyone knows how hiking the Narrows is like during that time. I see some people wearing proper gear/bibs whereas others are rocking just proper shoes/socks. Is the water level super dependent on what the weathers like or are water levels generally higher/lower depending on the time of year? I am…

Zion Canyon Hot Springs

If you’ve been there- would you recommend the all day pass or the 3 hour “quick dip?” This will be a relaxation day for my future husband and myself, the day after our October wedding (which involves plenty of hiking). We will also be doing a couples massage that day. I want to have time to explore the different “springs” from around the world and also alternate some between hot and cold. I know…

First trip to Navajo land

First trip the great Navajo area planning to cover South Rim on day one , driving next morning via Scenic desert view ride towards Horshoe and Antelope and would like to cover Zion NP and Bryce Canyon over the next two days in late September. How is the drive from Page to ZNP, trying to decide if we should stay the night in PG or stretch that day and stay near ZNP.to enter the park early before…

Large vehicles restriction for Zion-Mt. Carmel Highway

Hello, I’m going on a roadtrip to Zion at the end of the October with RV. However, I saw the restrictions of the large vehicle, the limits is like: Length: 35'-9" (10.9 m) Width: 7'-10" (2.39 m) Height: 11'-4" (3.45 m) Weight: 50,000 lbs (22,680 kg) The rv I rent is 23’11”in length, 10’30” in width, 11’ in height. I wonder the resolution about it as I really want to drive through the tunnel and…

Advice on West Rim Camping Gear Storage

We're hiking the West Rim soon with one night of camping (wilderness permit sorted). Looking for advice on gear storage overnight. I've seen a lot of posts about rodents and critters getting into things. We usually just leave the hiking pack on the ground outside the tent at night, but that seems like a bad idea here. Would a big Ursack bag to stash the whole pack in do the trick? Also, while…

I get the sense that this is what carved out Zion canyon. Just trying to imagine the volume of water that must've been moving through those narrow spaces as well.

Question about entry

Hello everyone! I am planning an upcoming trip and the goal is to arrive around 6:30AM. As of now, my family and I want to park our vehicle at the visitors center lot inside the park. Then, rent bikes at Zion Outfitters which is just outside the national park entrance. My question is… If I pay the vehicle pass fee to enter Zion and park at the visitors center, will I have to pay a pedestrian fee…

Visited Zion for the first time in July

Stayed 2 nights at the South Campground on a whim while heading home on a road trip. 1. View from Emerald Pools trail 2. South Campground Night Sky 3-6. The Narrows 7. Deer strolling through the South Campground Photo 6 is a warning to be careful and bring a walking stick to The Narrows. I admittedly didn’t do much research beforehand and didn’t understand why everyone had them on the shuttle. I…

Road trip to Zion from CA in an EV

We're planning a road trip out to Zion National Park from California in our Model 3, and we're looking to stay overnight in the Springdale area. I was mapping out the route and noticed there isn't a Supercharger right in Springdale. Since we’ll be out exploring the park all day, the ideal setup is just plugging in overnight at our hotel. I see a bunch of places list "Tesla destination charging"…

More Solo Trip Tips Needed

Thanks for the last post! Super helpful. I feel ready. I booked an E-bike tour since I'll be alone and maybe clueless on where to steer myself. Smart or am I over thinking? Considering Kanarra Falls but again, solo and slightly worried but if you all find it safe I'll trust it. I also booked a Slot canyon & UTV tour for Kanab. Seems like fun, got a nice discount. & I booked the hot springs…
