Tipping questions.

I know this has been asked a million times but I can’t find a clear answer on this. My first question.) I read that crew will only make what they are owed on their contract. The tip money will be added up and used to pay this. Is this true? My second question.) if I tip cash will they keep that individually or will they turn it in and gets divided up. So why should I even pay the auto gratuity if…

Nassau excursion questions.

Hey fellow sailers. My family of four -- Kids aged 10 and 6 will be on the Wonder of the seas in June. I'm starting to explore excursions and am really at a loss. They all look good. Is there a specific excursion with kids anyone would recommend? We're a fairly active family, we can all swim and enjoy everything. Advice is welcome! submitted by /u/strongo [link] [comments]

Drink Mixes question

This might sound silly, but the last time I purchased the refreshment package (about two years ago? ) I was flabbergasted that they switched drink brands from Island Oasis to Finest Cal. A lot of people don't mind, but it's a dealbreaker for me. Finest cal tastes like koolaid's older brother. Does anyone know if RC has come to their senses and use proper frozen drink mixes again? Otherwise I'll…

I am planning a big cruise with my coworkers next year should i book it through a travel agent or should i book it while on board since i am gonna be on one in oct 2026.

I know we get 2 times the points when booking for your next cruise on board but is the benefit of booking with a travel agent better? submitted by /u/flyyynk [link] [comments]

Verizon Wireless alternative to cruise ship WiFi

When I got on my last cruise (in Florida), I forgot to switch my phone to Airplane mode. 😱 As it turned out, though, rather than immediately soaking me in roaming fees, Verizon instead didn’t connect and texted me with this offer. I thought I would share it with you, in case any other Verizon customers have basic internet/texting needs on their cruise and this might be a viable alternative for…

What has you experience been of the ships "plugging in" to shore power?

Currently I am on Liberty and in Copenhagen we were "plugged in" (and engines turned off), however at the destination previous "Kristiansand" they had to abandon the attempt as they tripped the ships power a couple of times before announcing they'd instead keep the engines on. I think '"plugin and turnoff" is a great thing but just wondered about your experiences for different ports and boats. One…

Is the ship mobile network an alternative to WiFi for internet?

I have tried using the ships mobile network for connectivity onboard liberty of the sea this week rather than WiFi (using an eSIM by gigsky) as it seemed a more cost effective option. My experience is that it was very patchy, I tried asking guest services where the best place is on the ship for it (to see if being near a transmitter helped) and they admitted it is "spotty" I assume that it doesn't…

Oasis Of The Seas - Aqua 80 tonight

If any of you are also on this sailing - did we get an incomplete version of the Aqua 80 show tonight? It was barely 25 minutes and something about it felt unfinished. Not complaining (we are having a great week) but just curious. submitted by /u/InevitableHyena3117 [link] [comments]
