Hello!! I recently received a package with this cardboard insert and thought it would be neat to give my rats, BUT BEFORE I DO, i want to super check that this material is safe for them to chew. it doesn't look like cardboard, or smell like anything, but i'm afraid it may have been made with glue. Does anyone know what it is and if it's safe? submitted by /u/ShirtOk581 [link] [comments]

One of my boys has caught me today and i need suggestions:( For the last few days we have been (what i thought) was playing, id move my hand along the floor and sorta play tag with him,and he would hold my hand and lick me. however today he fully mounted me lmao and tried humping me, i left him for about 20 mins, however he then wasβ¦
My rat Clover has had some respiratory issues and has been on sulfatrim for just over a week. I am already almost out of the medication in the bottle, so I called the vet's office. Clover was prescribed 0.2 ml every 12 hours. The syringe I've been using to measure goes up to 1.0 ml, so I've been drawing up to 0.2 (picture 2). The vet's office asked if I was measuring correctly, that it should be 2β¦
One of my new rats is deathly afraid of me picking her up, squeaking and running frantically. I don't know why, her cage mates are all fine with me touching them. I've never hurt her or anything so I don't know why she has this reaction to me. I'm trying to clean out their cage right now and I need her out of there but I don't know how to do that without making her even more scared of me.β¦
There was a guy in my old town who used to take his ferrets on walks. Is it possible to do the same with rats and would they enjoy it? submitted by /u/MindOfRats [link] [comments]
Had three boys of the same age, two died within a month. Remaining rat is 2 years old, in good health, but unneutered. Is it better to get another cage mate? He's never really enjoyed human affection, and became aggressive to me after the loss of his brothers (still working on it) so it's quite difficult to give him the extra love he needs. submitted by /u/Ancient-Poet6887 [link] [comments]
Ok so I had a rat when I was young but that was a lifetime ago. This is one of our 4 rats and he has socialized recently and his 2 other white brothers. He is not trying to get away and seems excited. I just want to be sure I am reading him correctly. submitted by /u/Darthsnarkey [link] [comments]
