Did a few minor cosmetic updates, new strings/setup in drop B. Sounds and feels pretty great. Laurel board isn’t quite as pale as the press photos, but was kinda light when I got it. I attempted using naphtha then Monty’s Montepresso on it to darken, but it didn’t really take very significantly. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I should have continuity between shielding and either the thimble or trem plate if there is a ground wire coming from the cavity? I remember watching a Puisheen video and he had a similar issue, but the guitar he was working on was missing the wire from the cavity. Am I missing a step?
