Got at an estate sale today - bringing it home tomorrow! Advice appreciated.

It's in stunning cosmetic condition, but needs some servicing which I'm happy to do. If you have any experience working on audio equipment from this era, I could use some advice on it. It's labeled as an RCA Victor New Vista. I'm not an expert on furniture, but it seems to be a pretty nicely constructed and finished model. I doubt it was low end. Namely: The turntable turns weakly on its own, it…

Finally got my man cave where I can show off my (mostly) mcm glass collection

Been collecting for a few years. Collection ranges from LE Smith, Fenton, Viking, Empoli, and a few imports sprinkled in here and there. Finally got a basement where my wife doesn’t care how I decorate submitted by /u/Icy_Huckleberry8599 [link] [comments]

Mid 1960s Vintage Couch

Curious about this piece my Dad purchased in the 1960s. Tag reads ‘Distinguished Upholstery by Heritage’. Pile still has decent depth, cushions in great shape (filled with a trillium or some type of fill ~not down~). Dimensions 96” Width 32.5” Depth 26.5” Height Is it worth the effort of selling? How popular are pieces like this these days? submitted by /u/pinkmyst93 [link] [comments]

Little MCM lighter ❤️

Thrifted from somewhere? Possibly from my eccentric father in law’s eclectic collection of things. Bonus kitten tax. Edit to add: it didn’t work when I bought it, so hubby replaced the flint. submitted by /u/minimoundsbars [link] [comments]

Inherited from Grandmother

We have had this for a little while, but my Grandma left it to me. I think it’s from the early ‘70s. I couldn’t find a mfg on it, but I love it all the same. The china is a mix of hers and ours, tea cups, cameras, etc were all hers. Grandfather was a studio photographer. submitted by /u/rjross0623 [link] [comments]

How much should I sell this table for?

It has a few scratches on the legs - but pretty decent condition - any insight into brand? Can’t find it on underside. I got this at the thrift so no idea on anything - seems like veneer submitted by /u/Due_Tough_1093 [link] [comments]

My Thrift Score Today

These absolutely gorgeous vintage retro 1954 Al Hirschfeld Movieland tumblers were just sitting on the shelf for $1.35 each. You can bet that I will be stalking this thrift store for a few days to see if they put out the rest. They often do this to sell good stuff but they break up sets. submitted by /u/Glassaddict666 [link] [comments]

John Van Koert for Drexel Profile sofa/TV tables

I found these on FBM. I was really confused about the legs and profile until I found a picture of them in a 1950s article... they’re TV/card tables! I had to stage it like the original image and share because they are such an interesting snapshot of 50s design and lifestyle. These are so convenient - why did they stop making stuff like this? submitted by /u/NoAssociate2400 [link] [comments]
