I love using my Osprey Farpoint for my carry on. I need a smaller pack for travelling around the city. My favorite pack weights 1lb 13oz. Would you say this is ridiculous? Is it just too heavy? I'm debating finding another pack, but the next best option would be 1lb 3oz. Do you think it's even worth it? Should I just suck it up and keep the better pack, even if it weights more? submitted by…
I'm interested in the Matador 18L Packable Backpack (the Refraction that it replaced was nice but a tad too small). For those who've used it, or even the Refraction considering the similarities: if to put a full water bottle in the side pocket, how bad is the tilt and away to the pack? I've used other packable backpacks that nearly go 45 degrees. Is it fairly stable when a water bottle is used?…
I'm looking for a new backpack for school and I'm having a surprisingly hard time finding something that checks all my boxes. I'm hoping you guys can point me toward some options I haven't found yet. What I need ~30–32L capacity — I'd say 25L is the absolute minimum, but I'm realizing 30–32L is probably my sweet spot. Laptop sleeve that can comfortably fit a 16" laptop Preferably waterproof as I…

I’ve been on the hunt for a smaller daypack than my current one (Deuter Futura SL 25), but was struggling with fit. Got some advice from reddit, and ordered the Gregory Maya 15. I /think/ it’s okay? The hip belt is sitting on my hip bone (my thumb in the last photo), I think the shoulder straps are the right length…the load lifters seem pretty tight which I was told was wrong on my Deuter but…
I have a marmot crossterra (~65L) backpack. This bag was part of marmot’s “biospan” line from the late 90’s or early 00’s, built for backpacking and mountaineering. The bag looks like it’s supposed to have some sort of hydration pouch. Upon researching this, I’ve found that it supposedly came with a removable “hangman” bag used for this. I can only find one source that mentions it and can’t find…

I have been using the Osprey Quasar for more than 2 years as my daily carry for both work and weekends activities and I love it a lot (2nd picture). The only issue for me is that my back gets all sweaty in Summer when i use it, so I have been looking into other options like the NF Borealis but I do not like some of the design choises in that one (like the organization pocket not going until the…

This is the second Osprey Quasar I own and as the first one, that was in way worse condition and ultimately was stolen from my car, I already noticed that with this one, within a few months of use, the logo is already peeling off and most likely end to be like the previous one I had. You can see it in the second photo😠 still way better than TNF Borealis where the lateral laces likes this one has…
Title. I got this backpack two weeks ago and one of the straps is noticeably thinning compared to the other side. I don't carry it with one shoulder. Is this a normal issue this early? With my previous jansport backpack, I experienced the strap thinning only after a few months of regular use. Is this return worthy? submitted by /u/marisolscribs [link] [comments]
