Thread cone spool adapter for my Vintage Singer 15-91

Do you want to be able to just put a thread cone on your spool holder and start free motion quilting? Well- now you can! My son made me a spool pin adapter for my vintage Singer 15-91 sewing machine and it works great!

The thread comes right off the top of the cone so no more tangles. It unwinds right into the little wire guide at the back of the machine- just like a regular spool of thread does- the tension is perfect! It stays put because it has a positioner that hooks into the oil opening to the right of the spool holder AND it glides over the spool holder- no more swinging side to side.

The arm that holds the cone has a little ledge on the end that keeps the cone from sliding (or bouncing) off.

I can’t tell you how happy I am with this. That clunky stand up holder would forever tip over or the thread would get caught on something on the back of my machine and knot up my stitches causing the thread to break before I even knew something was happening.

It’s been a long time since I’ve posted on my projects so I have a lot to show you- but I had to get the word out on this adapter right away. I’ll be back soon with some quilting photos ( and lots of crochet happenings too). Happy quilting everyone!
