Hello Adventurers,
Life has been – busy. Obstacles have shifted my priorities, but I am working on getting back to regular creative Questify Your Life ventures that fill my cup, including my Substack articles!
Today, I’d like to share a new episode of my Podcast with you.
PS: This episode includes multiple mentions of mental health conditions and mental health crises. If you are struggling or in crisis, please contact your local crisis line or call/text 988 in the United States. For additional support and education, visit the National Alliance on Mental Illness at nami.org.
There are moments in life when the weight of quest obstacles seem like they may break you.
And you’re left with a choice: Do you collapse under the weight of it? Or do you turn it into a quest?
In the second guest episode of the Questify Your Life podcast, I virtually sat down with Chryssie Whitehead and Kirsten Wrinkle, the creators of In My Own Little Corner, to talk about what it means to build something meaningful out of personal pain — and how to create your own quest in support of causes you deeply care about.
Watch the full episode here:
This episode explores:
How personal experiences with mental health can evolve into public advocacy
The emotional courage required to speak openly about stigma
What it takes to build something sustainable around a cause
The tension between vulnerability and storytelling
How to begin, even when you don’t feel “ready”
As someone who shares my own mental health recovery story as a form of perspective-shifting work and advocacy, this conversation felt like sitting around a fire with fellow adventurers comparing quest logs.
One theme that kept resurfacing in our discussion:
You don’t need to be the most qualified person in the room to start something meaningful.
Rather, you just need to be brave enough to begin, and you need to build a team that believes in the quest that you are building.
