At 10 am on a sunny Saturday morning 10:30 am 10 walkers and 1 dog met at the Chequers public house Wrestlingworth to set off on the Manor Farm walk in an anti-clockwise direction. From the pub we took the footpath towards Mill End noting the ridge and furrow field as we crossed that part of Woodcrafts’s Meadow. From Mill End we joined the bridleway towards Sutton passing to the north of Molehill Barns. Shortly before joining the Sutton Hill road we crossed a footbridge where it was noted Karen had done a good job of cutting brambles on her previous recce walk. We also stopped to look at 2 Alpacas in a field that came close to the fence line and provided some interest for the group. After some road walking we took the bridleway towards the Lousy Bush LNR (reserve) where we stopped by the bench for a group photo kindly taken by Sarah O’Hare. From the reserve we continued along the bridleway to The Chequers arriving about 12:20 pm where we wished Lynn and Derek farewell and the rest of us stopped to enjoy drinks and lunches outside the pub.

Many thanks to all walkers who took the time to join us on the walk and to Sarah O’Hare for sharing photos. Oxford University Pistol Club wrote a Facebook post about Jim here and there is an article about Jim in Issue 205 of the Village Link magazine attached here to this post.
