From Kalajoki Socks to Slip Stitch Lines Socks After giving up on the ridiculous ultra-lace weight yarn on Kalajoki socks, I only have the Emma Top as my only WIP project left, but even that will be done soon and I already got a bit tired of it. So, I’m starting a new new pair of socks with the Slip Stitch Lines pattern.

Cancun Boxy Lace Top Finally I found a lace top to knit with this stiffy yarn. Saw a girl wearing a similar style on the street that day and I was hooked! I have to say though, this yarn is probably the hardest I’ve ever worked with and makes me irritated! I’m holding it double which only makes it worse. Ughh! It feels like it’s time to call it a day after knitting.
Emma Top I knitted the swatch using the Loveyarn 丝语 (cotton/linen). The yarn was so stiff! I was speechless 😅. I felt that it was not suitable for this squishy pattern. Ordered a new dark green yarn from woolwarehouse to knit this pattern instead. Now I have to find something else to work with.

My ribbing tension is ridiculously good after switching to Eastern knitting to work on the back section which requires me to work k2p1 rib on flat. Sample Knit #2 Finished the 1x1 ribbing of the body. This time I tried another way to achieve a neater 1x1 by working purls in Eastern way. It worked out beautifully! My observation is the wrong side of ribbing is noticeably neater in this way (compared to my normal ribbing, which has less difference), so I’m considering to also work the knit in the similar manner with the Eastern way. Sample Knit #1: Mini Scarf Just handed in my first sample knit! Even though I finished it in only 3 days, I actually felt a tiny bit of sad thinking it’ll be gone (my baby 🥺). Time Traveller Socks CO this socks two days ago using Judy’s magic cast on. Once I finished the toe in magic loop, I switched to 9" circular. Assuming two sleeves together would take the same amount of the body, then the sleeves chart would take appx. 4 skeins total, that leaves me 2 skeins remaining.
