lemonlime was the first song written for our self titled album, but it didn’t quite fit the tracklist at the time. this song is the first and the last, a song about caring for someone with chronic illness, survival, and imagining there is a place we all could rest. it settles itself into the themes of our recently released self titled album, propelled by a joyful korg m1, and wrapped in twinkling arpeggios, lemonlime is a sad dream, if you wake up.
we’ll be leaving on a tour in 1 week, this is an extension of the tour we did last fall, hitting a lot of cities in north america we didn’t make it to then, as well as a few we’ve never been! we’ll also be heading to australia for Dark Mofo in june, plus a few shows on the mainland, then on to london and prague.
if you haven’t seen us yet - check out this post to see what you’re in for.
we will love to see you if you are near.
tickets for australia go onsale next week, sign up for the presale here
we’re doing a VIP hang this tour, this includes early access to the venue, where you will receive a vip only tote with a demo cd of a few acoustic recordings. we’ll have a q&a, then for north america only we’ll also play 2 acoustic songs from the stage. wherever you are, be ready with whatever you want to talk about!
as for the secrets, the opener for the north america portion of this tour will be a * special performance * by……… it’s too soon to say more but you will hear in due time. looking forward to it!
we kindly ask that guests at our shows wear an n95 respirator, we provide them at the door for those who don’t have them. however we would ask that if you do have one, or are able to get one, please bring that and use it! we do this as an act of material care for those who are immunocompromised and disabled. it also makes it possible for us to tour in a way where we prevent having to cancel any shows due to illness. it works! so thank you for your help in keeping us on the road and able to do our jobs. it means so much.
from our <3’s to yours, and enjoy the song 🍋🟩
