It’s clearly Hype Week here in Japan. Some of Instagram’s most beloved Seikos are on display. Both the Red Dot and the Le Vent Crescent Moon come with pretty big asterisks, so please read my description before committing to the purchase!

There are also some great Credors and Grand Seikos, both in terms quality and price.

For those of you completely unfamiliar with the buying process in Japan, please consult ourHow To” Guide for buying in Japan.

Great Condition · Ends Sunday, 9 August

The Description. Seiko’s vintage Panda chronograph doesn’t need an introduction, does it?

The Condition. But the condition certainly needs to be talked about. It’s in suspiciously great condition. Nearly immaculate. In the West, 80% of these have been fiddled with in some way - and there are entire websites dedicated to selling “aftermarket”, i.e. fake, 613X parts.

Japan isn’t immune to the fakery, but there’s a lot less of it. I say with some trepidation that this looks to be all original. At least, all of the tell-tale signs for fraudulence are missing, so if it is a fake it’s the best one I’ve ever seen anywhere.

The Functionality. In working order. The chronograph is also confirmed to be working and resetting correctly.

It’s on the original Z027 bracelet, but the seller says it’s slightly short and will fit up to a 6.8-inch wrist. The caseback looks a bit funky, like it’s been polished, but it also looks like there might be a sticker on the back - so it’s hard to see exactly what’s going on.

Huge Caveat · Ends Sunday, 9 August
