Prompt Dress is dead

Two years ago, I got a real job. This is what happened to this browser extension. Also, I misjudged its (and my) potential quite a bit. While I correctly identified the useful augmentations to LLMs that we now know as “agentic AI”, I was not ever in a realistic position to contribute meaningfully to this idea, so that thing wasn’t going anywhere.

That is even before the fact that what this extension is - and to a large extent even what it aspired to be - can be achieved in about two prompts to your favourite glaze bot.

Now that this is out of the way, you are receiving this last post on this Substack to let you know that I am still in software development and thinking about stuff. Not being smart enough to write sincerely about anything, I decided to wrestle with the unsettling changes we go through with AI in a humorous way.
