Weekly Digest #2: They Were Shining

I am running a day/prompt behind with this challenge but I should have that up tomorrow. And yes … I’m starting to streeeetch how the prompt is used in the story, but it’s the end of week 2 and that means we’re about halfway through the writing challenge and this serial so matters should start resolving (although I despair of Geraint. Honestly.)

If you’re new, the story is set mostly in the dreigiau môr (sea dragon) home of Caer Morgana, set during an indeterminate time period but before Maeve’s Chosen Court circa 500 AD, which was the last Chosen Court until Eidothea’s in 1814.

We first met Llallogan and his Chosen Court in The Stars Were Bright, the Ardwyad and Branwen series. This takes place before that serial, back when everyone was young and freshly inducted in the Chosen Court.

Glossary Recently, I found this old trunk in my attic. I have started this publication to share all that I have found within it. Spoiler: the first find is a diary from 1814. It’s magical. It’s full of hidden journaling and talks about sea dragons, or dreigiau môr.
