Weekly Digest #1: They Were Shining

For the first week of this daily serial (actually, five days a week, assuming I can keep up with this!), I posted the first part to your inboxes and for remainder, I shared them on the Notes app. (Although in hindsight, I should probably have shared them to the Chat as well.)

The poll split between the two choices of reading daily versus digest, so I have made two new sections: Daily Serial and Daily Serial Digest (just in case this happens again so I have some flexibility.) You are automatically subscribed to both. The regular weekly serials will be under the main The Môrdreigau Chronicles banner.

If you wish to change to the digest only, you’ll need to login to your Substack account (or navigate to your profile’s Settings in the app) and toggle off the Daily Serial setting. If you need help, let me know because I think I can adjust it at my end.

I’ll share the final set of links at the end of the month. (Let’s hope I can bring this in to land.)

If you’re new, the story is set mostly in the dreigiau môr (sea dragon) home of Caer Morgana, set during an indeterminate time period but before Maeve’s Chosen Court circa 500 AD, which was the last Chosen Court until Eidothea’s in 1814.

We first met Llallogan and his Chosen Court in The Stars Were Bright, the Ardwyad and Branwen series. This takes place before that serial, back when everyone was young and freshly inducted in the Chosen Court.

Glossary Recently, I found this old trunk in my attic. I have started this publication to share all that I have found within it. Spoiler: the first find is a diary from 1814. It’s magical. It’s full of hidden journaling and talks about sea dragons, or dreigiau môr.
