My great-great-grandmother and her 6 sons emigrated at the end of the 19th century — after the Erie Canal was completed by her forebears. She likely knew someone — but I don’t know who.
Author, journalist, mom of two sons. I braid lost moments of history, what has us wincing, and personal experience to offer stories with heart, hope, and humor — because God knows we need all three. I'm always looking for the light.
