I, finally, posted Chapter 3 today. Only one person has made comments on the preface and Ch1 and 2 so far. I hope more of you find it interesting enough to comment and therefore make it a stronger and more relevant book. Admittedly, the preface and first three chapters are foundational. Chapter Four should be more interesting, perhaps.
I posted to Linked-In a few weeks past, on AI, and it evoked a plethora of comments and questions, many off-line. That has been a distraction.
More interesting: as noted in my first post, I have an intense interest in cognitive science, mysticism, and altered states of consciousness. I am writing a paper to be presented at the 43rd annual meeting of the Society for the Anthropology of Consciousness next March. Subject of the paper, an invited topic, is AI and consciousness. Will be built on top of some work I did decades ago in my Ph.D. dissertation and the vTAO (virtual Topographic Adaptive Organism) model I developed then. Some might find this interesting.
On to Chapter Four: Establishing Theory.
