It is both sad and dangerous that our young Black children and adults know very little about our historical genetic DNA heritage of Black Excellence and millions of spectacular accomplishments. Regarding this topic, I have been very lucky. My dad was born two centuries ago in 1899. He taught me about the struggles of the Black race, and I observed his own struggles raising us his 12 farm children and fighting Jim Crow, segregation and racism. My own knowledge of Black history and Excellence continued in my two-room elementary shoo, all Black high school and predominately Black Howard University. I have made it my obligation to teach everything about the Black struggle to y children, grandchildren and other people. I learned a lot from books, and recommend a few of the best ones here: 1) Black Like Me, 2) The Fire Next Time, 3) To Kill a Mocking Bird, 4) The Legacy of Jim Crow, and the following book that I wrote as a Primer on Black History:
