Hello! Just a brief note that we will be in Baltimore May 12-14 for the second-annual AI x Journalism Summit 2026, organized by Hacks/Hackers.
We really enjoyed last year’s conference. How time flies — MCP was a novel concept, Anthropic was barely discussed, and Patrick Swanson blew my mind with synthetic audience panels.
But as I rewatch last year’s episode, I’m betting some of the same big questions will come up again:
How can AI supplement, not supplant, the work of journalists?
How can newsgatherers make money as Google referrals drop and AI summarization rises?
What will the first AI-native newsroom look like?
