Though I’m thoroughly embracing non-denim pants this fall, the casual cool of jeans will always be a key element of my wardrobe. I just ordered a few new-to-me Mother styles, the Midrise Dazzler Ankle (which gives vintage straight leg jean vibes) and the Lil Dodger Flood (a petite-friendly wide-leg silhouette). I also picked up these Utility Soft Barrel Jeans from Le Jean at Dress Boston last month, which feel like a softer, lighter & less expensive version of the Nili Lotan Shon I love so much.
I know many of us delight in royal gossip, but I am totally overwhelmed by the response to my piece about Harry & Meghan’s return. Apparently you are all as obsessed as I am! Stay tuned for more editions of The Tinfoil Tiara (all credit for the term “tinfoil tiara” to my friend, Our Royal Tea, on Instagram) as the Reverse Sussexit unfolds.
Have you taken a peek at the new Sezane collection that launched over the weekend? I’m currently eyeing this, this and this from the newest drop. The jacket collection seems especially strong, with some chic mac and trench variations as well as some wool options. (Just have to check material composition, as they can include polyester.)
Despite my affection for sweaters and soup, I am not a Fall Girlie in the slightest. I don’t long to decorate my porch with squash nor do I tangle with anything pumpkin spiced (other than this pumpkin bread my kids are obsessed with).
Which is why this cheeky Anti-Pumpkin Candle Club edition of Ranger Station’s pine candle is speaking my language. The scent description alone — “Doesn't smell like: pumpkin spice lattes / caramel apples cinnamon brooms” — had me howling.
My friend, Becky, talked about her daily supplement routine on a recent AMA and y’all, I felt like such a slacker! Do you prioritize your supplement routine? And how do you stick with it short of a pill case?!
So far, I’ve been somewhat successful with multivitamin powders like AG1, which tastes gross but works. Biologica tastes far better, but I have yet to take it consistently enough to evaluate results. (Like I said: slacker!)
I chatted with my trainer about creatine last week (because we are all high school football players now?) and he encouraged me to consider it for post-workout recovery and muscle development, but he warned that it can make the scale creep up because your muscles retain more water.
Collagen is also on my to-try list, but how many potions can a girl take in one day?!
These croc embossed Jamie Heller heels have been v. popular with you all, and I can’t say I blame you because they’re at the top of my Fall shopping list, too. Deciding between the brown and grey at le moment!
Vintner’s Daughter launches a new limited edition fragrance today, their fourth in a series that sells out every release. I’m not sure what a “botanical soundscape” is exactly, but the scent is very lovely irl, a grown-up floral that smells prettily of jasmine and rose mixed with earthy moss and conifer that keep the florals grounded. It feels very French girl, even down to the packaging in an elegant little rollerball bottle that would be ideal for travel.
Also just launched: this 111 Skin Precision Peel, which I am VERY excited about given how effective their mask products are. Unlike the M-61 PowerGlow Peel pads I use weekly, this peel is meant to be rinsed off? I’ll report back on my findings ✌🏻
Followers have long admired my (old and out of stock) Doen blouse, so I was delighted to spot this very similar piece on Alex Mill! It has such vintage-y charm with a sweet peter pan collar and puff sleeves, a piece you can wear with cutoffs during the Summer and a cardigan and chinos during the Fall. I’ve worn mine far more than I ever expected (and loaned it to a certain teenager quite often, too!).
Did you pre-order Ina’s new cookbook yet? What are you even doing?!
It feels like, following the success of Osea, a lot of body oils are launching at le moment? Here are the ones I’ve been trying lately:
Osea is popular for a reason: their Undaria Algae Body Oil sinks in beautifully and has a gentle, appealing smell. I’ve been layering the Hyaluronic Body Serum underneath it lately and my Summer lizard skin is coming back to life.
The beauty brand beloved by my entire family, Ursa Major, recently launched their Golden Hour Dry Oil. It’s meant for head-to-toe use, including hair! I like that it’s a dry oil, so no need to wait around for it to absorb before moving on with your day. (Use code: HEATHER15 for 15% off.)
I looooove the elegant packaging and light scent of this Tata Harper Revitalizing Body Oil, but it stays greasy longer than I can handle when I’m in a hurry. It’s lovely, but a bedtime-only product for mer personally!
Let’s talk about what we’re circling on the Eleanor Leftwich Fall II Pre-order (which ends today). I’m having a v. hard time deciding this go-around as I plan out my holiday (and even January event!) outfits. This golden brocade sheath dress is SO me, but would top and pants separates in the same brocade be more versatile? And if we’re talking purely about price per wear, is this navy cashmere polo a no-brainer?!
