Hello Friends,

The late Robyn Van En (1948–1997), former proprietor of Indian Line Farm, helped establish the farm’s CSA program in 1985, creating what is widely recognized as the first Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) project in North America. Her vision and dedication made her one of the foremost pioneers of the CSA movement on this continent.

In this issue, you’ll learn about a wild edible that I harvest each spring near my home; discover why natural playgrounds can have a profound impact on children’s health and well-being; explore how the rapid expansion of AI data centers is becoming a pressing community issue—and how you can make your voice heard; journey to a near-mythical place in this month’s Cabinet of Natural Treasures; and read about a thought-provoking new film premiering tomorrow from my friends, Josh and Rebecca Tickell.

Onwards!
