Talleyrand · Talleyrand

It is said that some countries are now in a pre-revolutionary state.

A revolution? For what? Against what? By whom?

If there is to be a revolution, it will not be a revolution in the revolution, but a revolution against revolution. It will be a reaction. A push to hold on to what little remains.

If there is to be a reaction, it should be viable. It needs a program and a party.

There are no more modern parties. There are no labour parties because there is no single mass of workers. There are no peasant parties because there are no peasants and not many small farmers. There are no conservative parties because change is happening everywhere. There are no liberal parties because there is no freedom. There are no Christian or democratic or socialist parties… and so on.

There ought to be only two parties in every modern nation, transcending all nations:

1. The humanity party

2. The party of power.

A world divided between people and machines? Yes, actually. This is the choice of today, if there still is a choice. The people must unite.
