Based around the world, Baggy is a small but mighty team of web developers and project managers that have built some of the most beautiful websites on the internet. We’re so lucky to call them collaborators and friends and we hope you enjoy reading what is bringing their team joy!

I recently built a website for Archive, a one-day event about preserving and bringing archival material into a contemporary context. I'm interested in archiving myself, and Standards Manual is an independent publishing imprint I really admire. They've spent over a decade rescuing graphic design history in book form. The one that got me is their Coca-Cola brand identification manual. My mum worked for Coca-Cola so I collect Coca-Cola ephemera, and it's the kind of book I would have sought out anyway. Work just got me there first. —Marta

My grandmother doesn’t really type on WhatsApp; she sends emojis and voice notes because it’s easier for her and she treats them like a phone call, just talking, no filter. She’s an upbeat person and always makes me laugh, and getting one in the middle of an ordinary day just fills me with joy. She’s old and I love her so much and I keep every single one. —Marta

I’ve been enjoying making music with code using Strudel. Strudel is a programming language for writing music based on JavaScript. I love writing Javascript anyway but using it to make silly little drum loops and grooving out to them is very fun. —Lily

This year I got a membership to the Milwaukee Art Museum. It has been the highlight of several recent weekends to bring friends and meander the museum while we wait for spring to arrive in earnest!

It is one of Milwaukee’s most special buildings, designed by Santiago Calatrava. I especially love the museum’s Haitian collection that found an unexpected home in Milwaukee and has the best colors. —Jill

A neighbor gave us a beautiful arrangement that inspired me to try making my own. I’ve been buying flowers and greens from Trader Joe’s to put together affordable bouquets. It’s a fun little creative outlet and having cut flowers around the house feels like a luxury! (Shout out to my daughter Frida who is also a daily joy!) —Jill

A present joy of mine has been going to a new little skatepark in Milwaukee at Emigh Playfield. Whether stopping by to get out with our dog Flo, or meeting up with my skate crew (the Bean Boys), this place is always good for a quick session and is open all seasons. —Quintin

“Catching the Big Fish: Meditation, Consciousness, and Creativity” by David Lynch was a pleasure to listen to (although, for me, I was not expecting his voice!). At a little under 2 hours, it felt like an extended podcast episode chock-full of Lynch’s interesting perspective on being and creating.

Zucchini Soup I have never made anything by Alison Roman that I don’t like and while we were skeptical about her zucchini soup, I keep coming back to it. We blend half of it at the end and mix it back in to create an even creamier texture. Save this recipe for peak zucchini season—summer!

Blooming Jasmine One of my neighbors has an entire hedge of jasmine lining the street and its in full bloom right now. It’s absolute bliss sticking your nose into that hedge! One day I’d like to have my own jasmine hedge to share with my neighbors.

Baby Kaia I got to meet my college roommate’s baby girl, Kaia, this past week! It was such a joy to walk with my friend by my side and her daughter merrily napping as we pushed her along the sleepy sidewalks of Pasadena in her stroller. Seeing my incredible friend as a mother filled my heart. I was beaming the rest of the day.

A Perfectly Precise Recipe I made some muffins from Roxana Jullapat’s new cookbook, Morning Baker and was delighted that I had the exact amount of three listed ingredients as I weighed out my mise en place. Very satisfying to empty out my pantry in such a precise way.

Septième Enjoy the curation and styling of this Shanghai-based shop.

Sijo (시조) Poetry The South Pas Library hosts regular programming and I joined for a recent Sijo poetry workshop. Sijo is a traditional form of Korean poetry that works within technical and thematic restraints. Each poem must be three lines, use 14-16 syllables per line, and introduce a twist/counter theme in its final line. It was a sweet way to spend an evening, scribbling out stanzas alongside neighbors.

Culture Club My friends Tiffanie and Ella and I had a movie night last week. While the film was unanimously not a favorite among us, the evening still left me feeling very grateful to have such smart, interesting friends whose cultural perspectives I deeply admire.
