This was rather hard to find, it turns out that EVERYTHING wants to start ssh-agent. Systemd As a user issue the following command: systemctl --user disable ssh-agent.servie LXDE Select Preferences/Default applications for LXSession Select Core applications Remove ssh-agent from Security (keyring) X11 Comment out use-ssh-agent from /etc/X11/Xsession.options
