I stumbled across a fascinating interview a while ago, from which I learned about David Foster Wallace; a troubled author, morally grey background perhaps (according to wikipedia). That said, I find his observations and thoughts from years ago to be strikingly relevant right now. I highly recommend you check out the interview too.
I've decided I'm going to write. In this never-ending sea of AI slop, the internet dies. But for whatever reason, I've never felt more inspired to write in my life.
