Three Most Interesting Deals

OXMIQ ($35M from Fundomo and Samsung Catalyst Fund): OXMIQ builds the GPU hardware IP and software stack that lets device makers ship scalable edge-AI compute without designing a full GPU from scratch. The timing is good: more models are being pushed on-device for latency, privacy, and cost reasons, and vendors want a path that’s more power-efficient than reusing datacenter architectures. What’s interesting is the “stack” angle—if OXMIQ can pair a licensable GPU core with drivers, compilers, and runtime tuned for edge workloads, it becomes a drop-in platform rather than a one-off IP block. The $35M Series A, led by Fundomo and Samsung Catalyst Fund, suggests it’s gearing up for broader design-in cycles with OEMs and silicon partners.

Dominion Dynamics ($97.7M from Georgian): Dominion Dynamics makes a real-time command-and-control platform for teams operating in harsh, high-stakes environments where connectivity is unreliable and decisions can’t wait. Instead of another dashboard, it’s built for live coordination—ingesting sensor feeds, tracking assets, and pushing actions across field units under extreme constraints. The $400M valuation on a $97.7M round implies meaningful adoption and deployment depth, not just pilots, especially given the integration-heavy nature of this category. With Georgian leading, Dominion looks positioned to expand beyond a single domain into a broader operating layer for industrial, defense, and emergency-response workflows.

Mako ($19.3M from Virescent Ventures): Mako sells a surface film that reduces aerodynamic drag on aircraft, turning fuel burn savings into a fast-payback retrofit. Airlines and lessors are hunting for near-term efficiency wins while they wait on new airframes and SAF scale-up, and a film you can apply during maintenance fits that reality. The key question is durability and certification across fleets; if Mako’s material holds up through cycles and cleaning regimes, it can spread aircraft-by-aircraft with clear ROI. Virescent Ventures leading a $19.3M Series A points to a push from validation into broader commercial rollouts, likely starting with high-utilization segments where fuel savings are easiest to measure.
