
Insurance experts have warned that insurers should be confident in their readiness in the event a food contamination event takes place, amid the UK’s salmonella outbreak.
The UK Health Security Agency declared a national outbreak of Salmonella food poisoning on 18 August, with one death reported and more than a third of those affected requiring hospital treatment.
