MILLER and WAKEFORD · PORTRAITS of US

Wow! How time flies. For many of you who were wondering where my next article is, I’ve been busy traveling—so busy, in fact, there has been no time to write, only to visit and photograph and enjoy life.

Add trips to Newfoundland, Denver, the Great American West, and Northern Michigan, and my life is rich with experiences.

Today’s post is simple. I’m just going to showcase a few beautiful images that will set the stage for future stories. And what stories I have! Very cherished moments.

Twillingate, Newfoundland, June 2025
Newfoundland June 2025 (Notice the four kayaker's)
Newfoundland, Baby foxes (Kits) June 2025
St. John’s Newfoundland, Jelly Bean Row
Moon light and the stars, Northern Michigan, November 2025
The moon has set, star trails
Wham, bam, GONE! Rocket launching
Motion Capture turning ordinary fun into visual excitement
Jensen’s Fishery Manistique, MI. Checking coordinates to retrieve yesterday’s nets. October 2025
The Goal. Whitefish. But number are declining due to major changes in Lake Michigan
Golden Gate Canyon, CO August 2025

Finally, I’ll end with this eight hour time lapse sequence. It started with the moon over Lake Michigan softly glowing against our house, then setting causing an evolving light sequence of gentle passing of the star’s in the heavens above.

We’re thrilled you’ve stopped by. Your presence on our site hasn’t escaped our notice. While we don’t fixate on tracking subscriber numbers, each time we share an essay, we see the community grow. It feels like watching a sunrise gradually light up the horizon, full of hope and energy.

Until next time, thank you for reading this story. In the meantime, please feel free to share any of our stories.

Take care, Robert
