Brisk westerlies were again the order of the day but only one heavy shower making landfall towards midday. After a long summer of Storm Petrel and moth induced sleep deprivation the sound of long-awaited heavy rainfall at dawn was very welcome in allowing for a decent lie in. 18th August: Atlantic weather didn't really do us any favours today, with much reduced numbers on the land and surprisingly little action on the sea.
