I spent a good seven hours making this Aztec head after reading about Aztec human sacrifice and religious practices. Lots of fiddly pixel-bitching to get it to look right. I've also made several submissions to Batfeula's 30 years of Tamagotchi Jam which you can see in the submissions forum for that jam. Finally, Nokia Art Jam 4 is still open for submissions. Get your pics submitted!
The Nokia Art Jam 4 page is up on itch.io now, and I've linked it to the Nokia Art Jam page. This year's optional theme is "Fossils". Entries are 96x65 1bit pixel images. More details are available on the dedicated page.

I've joined a new webring founded by Mistigris , the demoscene group of which I'm a member. I've included the icon at the foot of my site now. You can click it and go to all the other adjacent pages for creative retrocomputing. In other news, I've also updated my email newsletter archive , which contains the email for the 10th of August.
It's been a productive day. On top of adding a dark mode to my site, I've digitally painted a new image for the front page and made the distraction-free RSS option much cleaner (it hides the wriggle creatures entirely). The contact form is much tighter too, so if you've got a spare minute, fling me an email and tell me about your day.
Thanks to a request from Adam Phoebe, who was "flashbanged" by my site while browsing late at night, I've added a dark mode to the website. It relies on a CSS media query which detects your browser default preference, so I didn't need to add any JS or cookies. Thankfully, my site styles were built with CSS variables, so adding this new recolour was actually pretty straightforward!
