Rust isn't simple, and it isn’t sweet—
not where I come from.
And there's the smell of it.
Lungs rust, blood rusts,
and it doesn't take long.
Memories on celluloid rust
where I come from.
But then, this isn't where I come from
and it's rust everywhere.
Rust forests, rust seas,
and maps that trace rust eddies under
reddish skies.
Living rust
bursting into bloom according
to seasons I've never seen before.
I ogle this rich red forest and
wonder which way to go.
This version of “Rust Seasons” is very small compared to the original.
This version (when shown full-size, not on a phone) is 2,150 pixels on a side with 300 pixel/inch resolution. That’s just over just over 18 centimeters square, or about 7 inches.
The original is 28,800 pixels on a side, also at 300 pixels/inch resolution, meaning that it’s 2.44 meters square (exactly 8 feet) on each side.
Prints will be available soon from about 30 centimeters (about 1’) on a side up to about 84 centimeters (about 2’9”).
