Headlines on the news, getting worse, All these people dying, it’s a curse, Tryna use religion as the reason, I hope it doesn’t last another season. Feeling so helpless while they’re all dying, The world doesn’t care, they’re not even trying To listen to the government who are sat there lying, While the innocent grieve, and won’t stop crying. When will the world hear them shout? They try to make noise but there’s no one about, They try to break the system but it’s hard alone, Especially when there’s no wifi in their zone. Disconnected from all of humanity, Not even able to message their loved ones, No wonder they are losing their sanity, Whilst tryna outrun all of those guns. I thought a country was supposed to be your home, Under this regime, they can’t even roam, I thought religion was supposed to be a choice, Stuck, waiting for the day they can finally rejoice. I’m hoping this will all be over soon, Praying that Iranians will finally be free, Hoping for a day they can dance to that tune, Praying that it’s something we will finally see. I know it feels lonely, without even a phone call, But we are here by your side through it all, I hope that the regime will finally fall, And, when it ends, I hope you get to rise up tall.
