August is here, and a lot of what we have been working toward this summer is finally starting to come together.
Startup School has been running since early June and every Tuesday the doors have been open for Hackerspace Day. Builders have been shipping products, testing ideas, meeting other founders, and figuring things out together in the hackerspace.
As we head into the final stretch of summer, we are getting ready for a trip we have been looking forward to for a while. On August 20th and 21st, will be heading down to Guadalajara for Hackalajara 2.0 and Startup Day Guadalajara.
Two days built around the same idea we have always cared about, give builders a room, give them good people to work alongside, and see what magic happens.
Every Tuesday we open the Lab for Hackerspace Day.
There is no complicated format. Bring your laptop, bring whatever you are working on, grab some coffee, meet other builders, ask questions, and make some progress. Some people are working on startups, some are contributing to open source, and others are building AI tools, Bitcoin projects, media products, payment infrastructure, or something completely unrelated. Sometimes just being around other people working through their own ideas is oddly enough to help move yours forward.
If you find yourself wanting more than a Tuesday here and there, we currently have a few desks open in the hackerspace for builders looking for a more permanent home base at PlebLab.
For people who want to stay plugged in without taking a desk, we also now have an Online Builder Pass as another way to be part of what is happening around the Lab.
And for everyone who has asked us over the years where to get PlebLab shirts, stickers, and other gear, we finally have a proper PlebLab merch store online too. 👀

PlebLab Startup School Summer Session 2 is finally entering its final weeks.
The program started June 15th and runs through August 21st, with teams spending the summer working through product, customer discovery, revenue, positioning, distribution, and the harder part of turning an early bitcoin idea into something people actually want.
While they shipped every week August is where a lot of that work starts to come together. We will get to see the teams showcase what they have been building all summer, and fittingly, the final day of Startup School lands on August 21st, the same day as Startup Day Guadalajara.
On Thursday, August 20th, Hackalajara 2.0 returns to Stacker Space in Guadalajara for a full day of Bitcoin building around Lightning, privacy, developer tools, and practical workshops.
Builders can bring an existing project, show up with an idea, join a team, or figure it out once they get there. Workshops will include Super Testnet on coordinatorless Coinjoins with Emessbee, Moritz from Alby on Alby Hub and Lightning payments, and Justin from Shocknet on CLINK.
There will also be sats on the line, with support from Fulgur Ventures and Shocknet.
Then on Friday, teams will get the chance to show what they built at Startup Day Guadalajara.
The next morning, we head to Ciudad Creativa Digital for Startup Day Guadalajara.
Founders, developers, and builders will come together for startup talks, product announcements, demos, panels, and conversations around what is being built across Mexico and the wider Bitcoin ecosystem.
