These people are either willing propagandists or useful idiots, however well intended.
Anyone who truly paid attention to Trump’s first term knew he was just as much of a warmonger as his predecessors—and that baked into the “no new wars” rhetoric was the reality that he continued (and in many cases intensified) the existing ones.
The rhetoric in this video is a master class in several basic principles of propaganda: affirmation, repetition, and contagion, a three-step process described in Gustav Le Bon’s The Crowd (I outlined these steps in a video I made last year about crowd reactions to Charlie Kirk’s assassination).
