Shut Up, Substack

To anyone of Christian faith it’s abundantly clear Don Lemon attacked a church. To anyone with a modicum of skepticism it’s clear Don Lemon is a bad faith actor abusing the First Amendment as a shield to undermine everything our American Republic stands for. To anyone with a basic understanding of American civics (and the use of semicolons) it’s clear “protesting” at a church in the middle of their worshiping God is, at minimum, not within the spirit of the First Amendment.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

The First Amendment is not about freedom of speech. It’s about freedom of conscience. This includes religion, speech and press, peaceful assembly and petitioning the Government for redress of grievances.

In that order.

When fools of various stripes attack its protections (which is what Lemon and his gang clearly intended to do) they’re not defending free speech. They’re not practicing freedom of the press. They’re after your soul.

Don Lemon sought to stop Christians from worshiping God. By supporting Lemon in this manner, in refusing to see the truth at play, Substack makes it clear who’s side their on. It isn’t ours.

Fellow Christians, it’s time to ask your subscribers, followers, and most importantly yourself what Substack is really about and if you belong here. I love America, and always will, but whatever our political situation Christ is King.

As for The Partisan, we’ll likely stay to the bitter end. It’s in the name, after all!

But supporting the antics of men like Lemon leads down a dark path. None of us will enjoy that, most of all fools like Lemon and their ilk.
