Week 50 — Pete’s AI Homework Needs You

Time for a Pete’s AI Homework reboot!

We started this series 350 days ago with daily posts. Twenty lessons, five days a week, four weeks straight. A lot has changed since then — in AI, and probably for you too.

I love all y’all, but let’s throttle back to once a week or so. Daily was a sprint. Weekly is a pace I can sustain, and honestly, it gives you more time to try things between posts. That’s when the real learning happens anyway.

Here’s the thing: I can tell you anything about AI, but not everything. There’s too much ground to cover, and the wrong lessons at the wrong time don’t stick.

So before I create the next lessons, I want to hear from you. Where are you right now? What’s gotten easier? What’s still frustrating? What do you wish existed?

A few things I’m specifically curious about:

• Which AI tools you’re using, curious about, or hoping to try

• What kinds of things you want to do with AI — not topics, but actual tasks

• Whether you’ve ever gotten lost following step-by-step AI instructions (because if so, I want to fix that)

Your answers will shape what comes next. This isn’t a formality — if most of you are already using Claude daily and want to go deeper, we’ll go deeper. If most of you are still just getting started, we’ll slow down and make sure the foundation is solid.

Also today: my second post is a quick example of agentic AI in action. I used Claude Code to catalog all 55 of my Zoom call transcripts so far from this year — and the results were genuinely impressive. That post is coming right after this one.

One post a week. (Sometimes two on the same day, apparently.) Let’s go.
