Success isn’t always about greatness. It’s about consistency. Consistent hard work leads to success. Greatness will come.—Dwayne Johnson

Man is born as a freak of nature, being within nature and yet transcending it. He has to find principles of action and decision making which replace the principles of instincts. He has to have a frame of orientation which permits him to organize a consistent picture of the world as a condition for consistent actions. He has to fight not only against the dangers of dying, starving, and being hurt, but also against another anger which is specifically human: that of becoming insane. In other words, he has to protect himself not only against the danger of losing his life but also against the danger of losing his mind.—Fromm

Authenticity is the alignment of head, mouth, heart, and feet—thinking, saying, feeling, and doing the same thing—consistently. This builds trust, and followers love leaders they can trust.—Lance Secretan

In contrast to pseudo-self, solid self is made up of firmly held convictions and beliefs which are formed slowly and can be changed ‘only from within self’. They are never changed by coercion or by persuasion from others. Having a way of thinking that is consistent within itself and reasonably consistent with the available factual knowledge, or at least not in conflict with it, is the principal element that allows someone to be an individual while in emotional contact with a group.—Kerr and Bowen

Pseudo-self can be shaped by a groupthink. The consistent and well-thought-out beliefs of solid self, in contrast, can withstand a groupthink. A person who has the courage to stand firm and not simply oppose others can have an amazingly constructive effect on an anxious group. The person who stands firm does not have to be ‘right’ to be of benefit to the group. Their direction simply has to be self-determined rather than influenced by anxious prodding from others. They are not attempting to influence or change others, but simply stating, ‘This is who I am; this is what I believe’.—Kerr & Bowen

When people consistently move in the direction of growth, feelings of happiness and life satisfaction tend to come along for the ride as an epiphenomenon of growth.―Scott Barry Kaufman

Superlative performance is really a confluence of dozens of small skills or activities, each one learned or stumbled upon, which have been carefully drilled into habit and then are fitted together in a synthesized whole. There is nothing extraordinary or superhuman in any one of those actions; only the fact that they are done consistently and correctly, and all together, produce excellence.Dan Chambliss

Being organized is a dynamic process, demanding consistent reevaluation, rethinking, and renegotiating the relevance of things in our physical and psychological environment.David Allen

Getting clear, current, organized, in control, and conscious about our commitments and focus is not hard to do. It’s easy to clear the mind, make intelligent decisions about our stuff, organize and review the results, and feel much better about work and life. Especially with the GTD model that I teach. What’s much more difficult is to get yourself to experience that so regularly, so consistently, that it becomes how you are, emotionally, as a standard experience rather than an exception. Anything different would then be out of your comfort zone.David Allen

Small things, done consistently, create major impact—David Allen

Success doesn’t come from what you do occasionally, it comes from what you do consistently.—Marie Forleo
