Here below is a presentation of each graphic panel with clearly legible typed captions in glorious analogue color detail:

The Monster Heatwave.
“We have violated the Will of the Gods!”
“But Odysseus, we live in the Bronze Age.“
“The Monster Heatwave only exists during the time of the Petrol Age!” (Note: there is an extensive debate on what to call this era of human generated global warming. The Anthropocene age has fallen out of favor, whereas the space age, or the post-industrial age are already things of the past. I have chosen to call this the Petrol age even though some nations are well into the A.I. digital age.)
“You’re right! No cunning or sacrifice can save man (humankind) from his (her) own insatiable desire to destroy!”
“But I must save my men!” — “From the Monster Heatwave!” Here Odysseus demonstrates his absolute devotion to his men and as an extension his people conscious of the fact that he is living the last days of the Bronze Age.
“Athena! As my emotional support Goddess what am I to do?” — “Go to Hell!” (Note: Athena means this more figuratively than literally.)
“Buried beneath the Mountain of Ignorance you will have to slay the Charlatans and Deniers of Logic and Ethics!” — “Only then will you be free of the Monster Heatwave!” In this the last found storyboard panel we can only infer that Odysseus will take on the challenge and seek out the Mountain of Ignorance. Scholars are uncertain as to the exact location of the Mountain of Ignorance, some say it would be one of the lost volcanic islands in the Mediterranean, though one credible theory suggests the mountain is found along the northern coast of the Bay of “America,” possibly in Texas.

“Odysseus and the Monster Heatwave.” Written and illustrated by Peter Lang. Produced during the 4th Summer Heat wave to hit Europe. As of the writing of this graphic story temperatures outside my home reached 40 c. No monsters were injured during the making of this graphic story.
