The fire alarm was fun.

Last night’s Metro Awards even had its own first responders, members of Purchase Fire Department who answered the call when the alarms went off a half-hour before showtime.

The show was loud and long and splashy, like the Metros always are. And there was one disappointing tradition I’d love to see retired, but more on that later.
